Applying for a job is always nerve-racking! Please find below 5 tips from the OTTO Work Force recruiters to prepare you for this.
Tip 1: A recruiter usually receives hundreds of applications and CVs on a daily basis. Make sure yours stands out between all other applications.
Tip 2: Besides CVs, a recruiter also receives a whole sheaf of motivation letters. Make sure yours is not a run-of-the-mill letter. In other words: be creative and original so that your letter leaves an impression!
Tip 3: As a recruiter I pose the question: ‘What kind of work are you looking for?’ Think of your answer to this question in advance. If you are unable to answer this question, you will not come across to a recruiter as being motivated. Be prepared for a telephone intake discussion and focus on what it is you would like to do. Proper preparation pays off!
Tip 4: Most candidates want to start working as soon as possible. In your enthusiasm you may forget to think of questions to ask. Think of at least three questions beforehand, so that the position will be clear in your mind.
Tip 5: Be yourself!
